As believers, we are God’s children. A child of God will reflect His character. Each week, we focus on one scripture while highlighting a declaration (Who God is) and affirmation (Who we are as believers).
This week’s scripture is:
But Noah found favor with the Lord.
Genesis 6:8 NLT
Declaration
God is gracious.

Affirmation
I am protected by God’s grace.
The story of Noah is one of radical faith and obedience. God saw the wickedness and evil intent of the hearts of people. God grieved at the sight of all of this and regretted making humans on earth. The scripture goes on to say God had a plan to wipe all living things away; yes, everything including humans and animals. BUT GOD found one man worthy of saving. Noah was described as walking with God. This means he made it a habit to strengthen his relationship with God and found favor. When the world was covered with floods, Noah and his family were covered by God’s protection. When we walk with God, we are protected by His grace. Never forget that.
A Prayer Starter…
Heavenly Father, I praise you for the gift of undeserved grace. As I continue to walk with You, let my works find favor in Your sight, Lord. Continue to protect me as I seek to do Your will…. Amen.
