Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation.
It was by faith that even Sarah was able to have a child, though she was barren and was too old. She believed that God would keep his promise.
Hebrews 11:1-2, 11 NLT
One definition of faith is, “A constant outlook of trust towards God, whereby human beings abandon all reliance on their own efforts and put their full confidence in him, his word and his promises” (Manser, M. H. (2009)). Having a constant outlook of trust isn’t easy. Our human nature predisposes us to mistrust. Just think about a typical week. How many times was your outlook unwavering in trust?
God is faithful to His promises.
Today, I want to encourage you to have faith in the promises of God. If He has promised something, it will be fulfilled. The troubles of life may come. BUT, we are backed by a faithful and unwavering Heavenly Father. We may not know how it will all come together and yet we still have to move forward with what we have in obedience. Remember, God has never failed us before and He never will. Stay confident in Him because He is faithful.
