Yes, the Lord has done amazing things for us! What joy! Restore our fortunes, Lord, as streams renew the desert. Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy. They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.
Psalms 126:3-6 NLT
Apples, oranges, grapes, and bananas are easily distinguishable at the grocery store. Most people can look at their shape, color, and/or smell and figure out what fruit they’re looking at. Can you say the same for the fruit in your life? What fruit are you harvesting? When you take a step back do you see more Weeping or Joy? Rushing or Patience? Greed or Self-control? Anger or Love? Anxiety or Peace?
God’s presence is where weeping transforms into harvest.
Today, I want to encourage you to reap the harvest! You have access to a continuous flow of love, joy, peace, patience, self-control, and more, if you’re willing to put in some work. Remember, What you sow, you will reap (Galatians 6:7-9). As you get intentional with dwelling in God, you are putting seed in the ground. God takes your tears and transforms them into a beautiful harvest of the fruit of the Spirit. If you want to see more visible fruit of love, joy, and peace in your life, keep yourself rooted in God’s presence.
