As believers, we are God’s children. A child of God will reflect His character. Each week, we focus on one scripture while highlighting a declaration (Who God is) and affirmation (Who we are as believers).
This week’s scripture is:
Then Laban declared, “This pile of stones will stand as a witness to remind us of the covenant we have made today.” This explains why it was called Galeed—“Witness Pile.” 49 But it was also called Mizpah (which means “watchtower”), for Laban said, “May the Lord keep watch between us to make sure that we keep this covenant when we are out of each other’s sight. 50 If you mistreat my daughters or if you marry other wives, God will see it even if no one else does. He is a witness to this covenant between us.
Genesis 31:48 – 50 NLT
Declaration
God sees all.

Affirmation
My actions are seen by God.
There are moments when things are done in the dark and we wonder if they’ll ever see light. When someone has done us wrong, it’s easy to think no one will know the real truth. But God is present and watching at all times. Things may have happened in private and been unwitnessed by another person, but God saw everything. The best course of action is to release it to our Heavenly Father to teach us how to resolve.
A Prayer Starter…
Heavenly Father, You are a watchtower. You see and know everything. There were actions done in the dark that I am struggling with. I am releasing those situations to you, Lord. Grant me wisdom on how to navigate their resolution. Help me to be ok, if the truth never sees the light of day. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
