As believers, we are God’s children. A child of God will reflect His character. Each week, we focus on one scripture while highlighting a declaration (Who God is) and affirmation (Who we are as believers).
This week’s scripture is:
10 But Jacob insisted, “No, if I have found favor with you, please accept this gift from me. And what a relief to see your friendly smile. It is like seeing the face of God! 11 Please take this gift I have brought you, for God has been very gracious to me. I have more than enough.” And because Jacob insisted, Esau finally accepted the gift.
Genesis 33:10 – 11 NLT
Declaration
God is gracious.

Affirmation
I have more than enough.
If we look around, there is so much to be grateful for in our lives. Maybe familiarity has clouded your view, but this is a great time to get clarity. God has shown us an overflow of unmerited favor. To look around and see family, friends, shelter is even further evidence of God’s goodness towards us. Instead of focusing on what we want next, let’s show our Heavenly Father gratitude for what we have right now. It is truly more than enough.
A Prayer Starter…
Heavenly Father, You are full of grace. Thank you for your continued kindness and faithfulness. I know that my actions are not worthy, but you are forgiving and loving in spite of my faults. Lord, instead of dwelling on what I want, I want to thank you for everything that you have blessed me with. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
