As believers, we are God’s children. A child of God will reflect His character. Each week, we focus on one scripture while highlighting a declaration (Who God is) and affirmation (Who we are as believers).
This week’s scripture is:
One night Joseph had a dream, and when he told his brothers about it, they hated him more than ever. 6 “Listen to this dream,” he said. 7 “We were out in the field, tying up bundles of grain. Suddenly my bundle stood up, and your bundles all gathered around and bowed low before mine!”
Genesis 37:5-7 NLT
Declaration
God’s decisions outweigh everyone else’s.

Affirmation
I will not worry about other people’s reactions to God’s calling.
What God has decided about us is more important than what others say about us. It can be challenging to deal with the anger, jealousy, or mistreatment from other people when we start walking differently. But we can’t allow their actions to dismay us from doing what God says. If God gives you a vision or a dream, chase after it, not other people’s opinions.
A Prayer Starter…
Heavenly Father, You give dreams and visions to Your children. You bless us with plans far greater than our imaginations could take us. Thank you Lord for the gift of visions and dreams. Grant me the strength to not worry about other people’s opinions and only trust in You… In Jesus’ name. Amen
