“What is the price of five sparrows—two copper coins? Yet God does not forget a single one of them. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.

Luke 12:6-7 NLT

With so many people in the world, it can be easy to feel lost in the crowd. In order to cope, we start to place our worth in correlation to physical things or we compare and rank ourselves with other people. We look at how much we’re doing as a sign of being a “good Christian.” To tell the real truth, we significantly undervalue our true worth, abilities, and significance in this world.

God never forgets who you are.

Today, I want to encourage you to remember your value! God knows the very hairs on your head! You are not ordinary, nor forgettable. The Lord knows how valuable you are to His Kingdom. You were created by Him on purpose for a unique calling. Never forget how special you are in His sight! If you ever get lost, look to God for clarity on who you truly are.

Reflect – Do you fully embrace that God knows every single detail about your past, present, and future, AND still sees you as valuable?

Advent Reflections – Even in the Waiting – Day 2

I have been lost a time or two. Usually, because I got distracted and wandered off the intended path. Whatever sparked my interest was enough to cause me to lose sight of my intended destination. In this passage, we find Jesus as a child, so focused on His Father’s business that he wanders off from his parents. In my own life, I’ve found that I’m not prone to wander towards my father’s business….but away from it.
