When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom. Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual truths. But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means. Those who are spiritual can evaluate all things, but they themselves cannot be evaluated by others. For, “Who can know the Lord’s thoughts? Who knows enough to teach him?” But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ.1 Corinthians 2:13-16 NLT
There is a distinct difference between believers and non-believers. When we say yes to God, we become empowered by His Spirit. We have access to new spiritual truths that shape how we live life. The way we think, act and navigate life is different than those that live by the world. People that function in the ways of this world don’t understand our ways.
God grants insight to those who believe.
Today, I want to encourage you to embrace God’s insights! What we believe as Christians will never fit in with the world around us because of the Holy Spirit that dwells within us. Non-believers will not be able to understand Godly wisdom because worldly eyes and minds cannot interpret or discern heavenly things. We understand these heavenly principles because little by little we are transformed into having the mind of Christ. We don’t have to go back and forth; we just need to stand in God’s truth and insights!
Reflect – Have you been trying to justify your thoughts, beliefs, or actions lately?
