As believers, we are God’s children. A child of God will reflect His character. Each week, we focus on one scripture while highlighting a declaration (Who God is) and affirmation (Who we are as believers).
This week’s scripture is:
But don’t be upset, and don’t be angry with yourselves for selling me to this place. It was God who sent me here ahead of you to preserve your lives. This famine that has ravaged the land for two years will last five more years, and there will be neither plowing nor harvesting. God has sent me ahead of you to keep you and your families alive and to preserve many survivors. So it was God who sent me here, not you! And he is the one who made me an adviser to Pharaoh—the manager of his entire palace and the governor of all Egypt.
Genesis 45:5-8 NLT
Declaration
God creates provision in every season.

Affirmation
I will look for God’s provision in every season.
Our Heavenly Father knows the past, present, and future. He orchestrates people, places, and things in just the right position for His children’s provision. Oftentimes, we only see His hand when we look back. The true path to maturing in hard seasons is to find Him in the middle. We’ve got to start recognizing God’s hand of provision in the middle of the storm instead of after the storm settles. Instead of focusing on circumstances, look for Him in every season. It will change our whole perspective on who God is.
A Prayer Starter…
Heavenly Father, You are the Alpha and Omega. You know the beginning and the end. Thank you for provision in every season. Lord help me to see Your hand in the middle of my storms. Help me to be aware of Your provision in every season… In Jesus’ name. Amen.
