Where is another God like you, who pardons the guilt of the remnant, overlooking the sins of his special people? You will not stay angry with your people forever, because you delight in showing unfailing love. Once again you will have compassion on us. You will trample our sins under your feet and throw them into the depths of the ocean!
Micah 7:18-19 NLT
The holiday season is filled with friends and family. And although we spend our time filled with those we love, there are others that we’re not so fond of. As we gather around tables, in restaurants, or even virtually, let us remember forgiveness. God throws our sins into the depths of the ocean. He doesn’t allow offense to keep his children away from Him. He demonstrates how we are called to forgive others. When we truly embrace God wiping our slate clean, we are even more compelled to do the same for others. Let that sink into your soul this holiday season.
Reflect – Who are you holding offense in your heart against? In your own words, Pray that God reminds you of His forgiveness so that you can extend it to others…
