How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony! For harmony is as precious as the anointing oil that was poured over Aaron’s head, that ran down his beard and onto the border of his robe. Harmony is as refreshing as the dew from Mount Hermon that falls on the mountains of Zion. And there the Lord has pronounced his blessing, even life everlasting.
Psalms 133:1-3 NLT
The word family evokes a wide range of emotions for each person. Some people are filled with love and warmth, while others are filled with sadness or wrath. As children of God, we are called to live in harmony, not only with our family but our spiritual family as well. It’s refreshing to be in an environment filled with peace and good will. And what’s even more special is how God rains down blessings on His children who live harmoniously with others. This explains why we must come against the devil’s seeds of discord and confusion. We may not have oneness of view, but we will always have oneness of spirit in Christ.
Reflect – What role can you actively take in seeking harmony with others? In your own words, Pray that God fills you with a heart for harmony…
