In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.
Ephesians 1:4(b)-6 ESV
How do you find your purpose? It seems like it’s on the tip of everyone’s tongue these days. Everyone seems to know how to find it, where to look for it, or how to create it. So many people set off on paths to find purpose and find emptiness at every turn. Instead of cultivating discouragement and disappointment in your heart by doing things the world’s way, start with Jesus.
God has a divine purpose for every one of His children.
Today, I want to encourage you to embrace God’s grace! God has covered each one of His children with unmerited favor and blessings. There is nothing that you can do to earn His love and grace. As Christians, your purpose is clear. You are called to live a life that reflects God’s nature. You are empowered to live holy because our Heavenly Father is holy. When it feels daunting, remember gratitude; Gratitude for the amazing gift of adoption into the body of Christ, for grace, for the forgiveness of your sins, and for freedom. Those reasons alone are enough to fuel your purpose to live according to His will.
Reflect – When you look for purpose, do you seek our Heavenly Father first? Are you living a life that reflects God’s holiness in the world?
