As believers, we are God’s children. A child of God will reflect His character. Each week, we focus on one scripture while highlighting a declaration (Who God is) and affirmation (Who we are as believers).

This week’s scripture is:

16 I pray that he may grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with power in your inner being through his Spirit, 17 and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. I pray that you, being rooted and firmly established in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the length and width, height and depth of God’s love, 19 and to know Christ’s love that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Ephesians 3:16-19 CSB

Declaration

Affirmation

I am a carrier of God’s glory.

God is glorious. He is worthy of our praise and admiration. As His children, we carry His glory out into the world. It’s a privilege that we can reflect His light into dark spaces. As we journey through life, there are always opportunities to display Jesus’ love and kindness toward others. Never miss a chance to share your testimony with others and put God’s glory on full display. Remember, you are a carrier of God’s glory.

A Prayer Starter…
Heavenly Father, You are glorious. I praise and adore you. Thank You for the gift of Jesus Christ and for allowing me to reflect Your glory into the darkness of this world. Lord, continue to illuminate opportunities to share my testimony with others and tell others about your powerful nature… In Jesus’ name. Amen.

In His Presence

My mother says, “Old makes way for new” and the cold days of December are no exception. They make way for a fresh new year each January. The days after New Year’s always feel full of potential and anticipation to me. While many people are looking forward to the coming year or accomplishing new goals and resolutions, I take this time to look back. It’s always eye-opening to see how little decisions add up; and how one small shift changes the trajectory of life. I truly believe that taking time to reflect during the month of January re-centers my vision for the year ahead.

Advent Reflections – Even in the Waiting – Day 4

The Lord’s Prayer 11 Now Jesus was praying in a certain place, and when he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples.” 2 And he said to them, “When you pray, say: “Father, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. 3 Give us each day our daily bread, 4 and forgive us our sins, for we ourselves forgive everyone
