For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, but worldly grief produces death. 11 For consider how much diligence this very thing—this grieving as God wills—has produced in you: what a desire to clear yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what deep longing, what zeal, what justice! In every way you showed yourselves to be pure in this matter

Reflection

What areas can we focus on to ensure that our sorrow is “godly grief”?
A Prayer
Heavenly Father, we come before You today with a humble and contrite heart. We confess and repent of our sins, and all of our wrongdoings. We recognize that we have not always acted in accordance with Your will and have strayed from Your path. Give us strength to turn from our wickedness and be obedient to Your commands. Through the power of Your grace, may our godly grief produce repentance and a desire to live according to Your will. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
